Home Chemistry - Scone?

Aim: To look at different kitchen ingredients in scones and their effects.


Hey guys hows it going today I am writing about the experiment that we did in sciences. We tested out different types of ingredients we could add to the scones. This recipe can only make 2 or 1 scones. Our group name was E.S.N.R. Lets go! 


Normal Recipe:

  • 1/2 cup Edmonds standard flour
  • 1 tsp Edmonds baking powder  
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/4 cup milk

Baking Soda Recipe: 
  • 1/2 cup Edmonds standard flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda 
  • 2 tsp butter     
  • 1/4 cup milk

  
Lemonade Recipe: 
  • 1/2 cup Edmonds standard flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp butter    
  • 1/4 cup lemonade 


Materials:


1. One Cup
2. A Blow 
3. A Plate 
4. A Spoon
5. Oven

Normal Process:

Step 1: Put one cup Edmonds flour in a blow
Step 2: Add in 1 tsp Edmonds baking powder  
Step 3: Add in 2 tsp butter  
Step 4: Add in 
1/4 cup milk
Step 5: Knead your dough and shape it 
Step 6: Put it on the tray 
Step 7: Pop it in the oven. Put the oven on 200 celcuis   

Baking Soda Process: 
Step 1: Put one cup Edmonds flour in a blow
Step 2: Add in 1 tsp Edmonds baking soda 
Step 3: Add in 2 tsp butter  
Step 4: Add in 
1/4 cup milk
Step 5: Knead your dough and shape itStep 6: Put it on the tray 
Step 7: Pop it in the oven. Put the oven on 425 F  

Lemonade Process: 
Step 1: Put one cup Edmonds flour in a blow

Step 3: Add in 2 tsp butter  
Step 4: Add in 
1/4 cup lemonade

It was really fun and I love that we got to eat it at the end of our experiment. I think that the baking soda was the worst it was disgusting. Also I loved the lemonade it was delicious. The normal scone was OK but I like the lemonade better. Next time I think my group should make more of them and all of them should be new recipes and different ingredients. BYE!
