Week 2 

Hi guys today I am continuing with my Summer Learning Journey. I am a little late on doing day fours activity's but I will still do it. YAAA!!!

Activity 1

I have to talk about what I am a night owl or a early riser. A night owl is you sleep late and a early riser is you wake up early. In my family we are both sometimes we sleep late and sometime we wake up early. Mostly I am a night owl we sleep at 10 pm. What do you think you are?

Activity 2

This time we have I have to writhe down the ingredients to make my favourite food which is butter chicken. This is a little different then our butter chicken.

1. 2 teaspoons of oil
2. A medium sized onion
3. A teaspoons of fresh garlic fined
4. 2 to 3 clove of garlic - Crushed
5. 1 1/2 pounds of boneless chicken - cut to your desirable shape
6. One can of tomato paste or it can be tomato sauce
7. 1 tablespoon of masala
8. 1 teaspoon of chili powder of your choice
9. Just 1 tablespoon of Cumin
10. One teaspoon of salt
11. A quarter teaspoon of  black pepper
12. What ingredient is one cup of heavy cream

Week 2

Hi guys welcome back to my blog today I am continuing on my summer learning journey day two week 2. I will be doing today three activities which are activity 1, activity 2 and the bonus round. This week's topic is Water, Water, Everywhere. Let’s do this.

Activity 1

The first topic is about weaving flax. Have you ever heard of weaving flax before? Well it's where you get flags which are a type of leaf that is really easy to weave and you just make mats, bags other stuff with it like home stuff. I have done it before at school. I would love to do it again because you can sit there for hours and just weave. It is lovey.

Activity 2 

This activity it about a person who we trust and is strong. My grandma because she is strong and I have heard the story from my grandma that she survived a lighting struck. If she a survive a lighting struck she a do anything, that my opinion.


    

Bonus Round 

For this round we have to chose at least two plants and then we have to tell 3 thing that they have in common and three things they don't have in common. The two plants I have chose are:

Rafflesia Arnoldii:

In Common: 
They are both flowers. 
There both very big. 
They are both found in Sumatra.


Not In Common: 
It is the biggest individual plant in the world. 
It grows up to three feet.
It is mainly found in the forest.  


Corpse Flower

In Common: 
They are both flowers. 
There both very big. 
They are both found in Sumatra.

Not In Common:
It is the most smelliest plant in the world.
It is the most largest plant in the world. 
It blooms in 40 years. What!

Day 1 Summer Learning Journey

Hey guys I am back on blogger for more SLJ. I'm excited and ready for another week of fun. Today topic is about Water, Water, Everywhere. This topic sounds fun because its feels like they are talking about activity's to do outside with nature in the water. 

Activity 1 

So activity number one is all about what is one of you favourite things to do outside. My favourite is going on my bike and riding it around my street. I like it because you can feel the fresh cold wind coming at you and I can do some exercise with my bike. I also like to hear the leafs from the trees blowing against the wind. Activity 2 

Every year a lots of people in Taupo #New Zealand bike around Lake Taupo in one day. The race is quite long it is about 160 km round. WOW! You can chose to do half of the race or the full race. Imagine if I went in this race I have to chose three people to support me on the way. Who would you have on you support crew?

1.  My Mum - Because she has always supported me!
2.  My Sister - Because she always pull my back up!
3.  My Dad - Because he makes me feel proud! 

Bonus Round 

This time I have to answer some question and at the end of them I have to write down if it is true or false. These question are about the oceans wild life. YAA!!! Here is my true or false Pop Quiz.

Hi girls and boys today i’m going to be continuing my Summer Learning Journey today is day 5. EXCITING Right!!!😁😝 Wow the first week went so fast. Anyway today I'm going to be doing three activities. The first one is Towering timber and living on the edge. Who's ready for some fun? I know I am!!

Activity 1 - Towering Timber🌇🌲

Have you ever heard about logging? I didn’t know that was a thing but now I do. So today we are going to be talking about logging. Logging is when you cut down trees that can be used for other things. For example you can build house out of trees, make paper and can create things. Also today I and go to be talking why is this bad for the environment. This why logging should be banned.

 

Activity 2 - Living On The Edge🏔

For activity 2 have to write a letter about my imagine trip to Tundra. It cold, there are no trees and on the mountains it snow. COLD Here is my letter.

Day 4 Of Summer Learning Journey

Hi guys welcome to another Summer Learning Journey. Today is day 4 a SLJ. YAA!!! I'm going to be doing 3 activities again so the first one is going to be about Sir Edmund Hillary, The second activity is Maple syrup and pancakes and the bonus activity. Let's go!!!

So the first activity is Sir Ed Edmund Hillary. If you don't know who is he is very famous he's the first man to climb Mount Everest. Let's imagine I met him in real life. My task today is if I met him in real life what  5 questions would I ask him about his life. Here is a poster of my questions that I want to ask Sir Edmund Hillary.

The second activity is maple syrup and pancakes. You must be thinking why pancakes and maple syrup well  today I have to tell you my favourite food, so what I like to eat the most. My favourite food butter chicken. In fact I love it so much I had it for my birthday. Please when you make this have a adult by your side and helping you to make it. Anyway I have to tell you how to make this yummy Indian food. You will find all of this in you local super markets or Pack'n save.

You will need:

• Bones Less Chicken
• Garlic, Ginger, Onions
• Cream
• Tin Tomato
• Colouring Food - Orange or red mixed with yellow will do.
• Salt
• Coriander
• Your choice of Butter Chicken Paste

Here How you make it:

Heat oil in a pot and then add Garlic, Ginger and Onions. Fry till light brown. After that add the bone less chicken and straight after add some salt. Cook chicken for 10 mins.

The next step add your tin tomato only half of it. Then add the butter chicken paste that you have chosen. Then cook for 5 mins again.  

After 5 mins add you colouring food in, which is orange and then cream. After that add some coriander, plane it up and enjoy. One of my favourite Indian food.

The Bonus Round
This time for the bonus round we have to create our own hotel. We also get to choose where it can be and what will you build it with. My hotel is going to be in Greece, Santorini because it is a beautiful place and has very good scenery.

My hotels name is "Blue Dreams Hotel." My hotel will have 20 stories. Each of the stories will be at least 10 rooms. My hotels outside will look like the. It will have white concrete and a blue roof with lot's of lights. Also to enter my hotel you have to use the two double doors that are blue at the front of my hotel. After you have entered in you will great welcomed by one of the staff. They will say "Welcome to Blue Dream Hotel." You will walk down a blue carpet and meet the receptionist. Here is a drawing of one of the rooms in my hotel. There are two bath rooms and two bed rooms.

Day 3 of Summer Learning Journey is here today I will be doing three activities which are Fantastic Beast, The Secretive Skink and the bonus round. You guys might all ready know the topic for the week but I will say it anyway it is "A place to stand." I"M SO EXCITED!!!

Fantastic Beast # Activity 1

I have to write a desperation about my beast that I have made up in my head.  

My beast have pointy fur so if you touch is you will get electrocuted. The fur is jet black. It's eyes a mix of blue and red to hypnotise you. The shape of the eye is a triangle. It smells like black smock so if a person breathes it in they might die. It is that size of a adult human. It roar is combined with a wolf's and a tigers roar. ROAR!!! The name of my beast is "Rablue demean." Here is a quit drawing of my beast.

The Secretive Skink # Activity 2 

In this activity i'm going to be talking about DOC Rangers. Doc Rangers take care of the wildlife like the animals and the plants. There are kept in a "animal reserve island."  Not a lot of people stay there excepted for staff. The staff that are working there live on that island. My job is to list three things that are good when being a DOC ranger and what is not so good. Also I have to write if I want to be a DOC ranger or not.

3.  Just being a round animals makes me happy.

Well let me think ... I would like to be a DOC ranger because it would be fun and exciting taking care of animals and learning more.

Bonus Round # Activity 3 

The bonus round is all about wildlife. In 1986 people organised a company called "W W F" short for "World Wildlife Fund." Staff all a round the world help countries by helping there plants and animals.
      

They help endangered animals and make good homes for them. For example I saw a video of WWF making a snow bank for baby seals when they are born. They were making it because the baby seals could stay alive. They also do this with other animals. Sadly I couldn't see the other video because it was available to watch But the positive thing about WWF is that it protects very good animals like the endangered and I keeping it alive from predators also protecting it. Day 2 of Summer Learning Journey

Day 2 of Summer Learning Journey

Hi girls and boys, day 2 of Summer Learning Journey has started and I am ready to do some research. Just in case you didn't see my last post which I did yesterday. I talk ed about New Zealand and my city Christchurch. As I told you in the last post for four weeks our topic for this term is the would around us. For this week it is "A Place To Stand"

The first activity is about our native plant's but not just any plant I'm going to be talking about the Kauri tree. Have you ever heard of The Kauri tree? There are only in Coromandel, Auckland and Northland. But the most popular place people visit to see this wonderful native tree is in Waipoua forest. Another fact is the tree in Waipoua forest is the biggest tree of its kind in New Zealand! I would love to visit a beautiful native tree because it is native to New Zealand and so special.


My second activity is about New Zealand sports. I have to list a least three teams that have the name "Ferns" in it from New Zealand.

Out of all of these three term I like the "Silver Ferns" uniform. What one do you like?

The bonus activity is about cactus. Did you know that cactus need a least 3 millilitres of water for one day. WHAT! Actually us humans have to have 3 millilitres of water for a day as well so we can stay alive. How much water would a cactus hold for a year? Lets work it out! Here is a DLO. 

 Wow a cactus can have a least 1095 ml of water a year. Amazing!  😊😎😲🙊

Hi guys, I am going to be blogging over the school holidays. I will at least do 1 blog post a day. I am using the Summer learning journey website. Our topic for four weeks will be the "world around us" so the environment. Week one is all about "A place to stand." 

Today I am going to be talking about New Zealand where I live. Also I am going to be talking about the legend Māui. Māui the demigod had made a fish hook that was made by his grandmothers jawbone. On that same day he went to the sea and threw the magical fish hook into the water and catched a big fish. That was the North Island. What do you think about this legend? Anyway our task was to find 3 facts about New Zealand. I have linked my photos so if you want to use that photo just press on the photo. 

The second activity is to describe my city. Which is Christchurch. Here is my city. 

Christchurch it a beautiful place to be because it is nice and quit. The Christchurch city is a magnificent place to be. It has so much history of so many times like the war to the art galley and the culture we have in New Zealand. Just walking around the city gives you New Zealand vibes. Don't get me started on the people, they always will be smiling and happy just how Christchurch is.

The third activity # Bonus Activity is when we have to make a digital footprint. You must be thinking what is a digital footprint? Well when ever you go online and share something to your friend or search something up if leave a digital footprint. You can't remove the digital footprint it stays there. That why you have to be safe when you are online. So here are some ways to be safe online.

Hi guys I am here with another blog post about SLJ. This time we had to research about two of the most famous places to visit in our country that we were visiting. I chose the two Twin Towers and the Batu Caves. I have made a presentation to share my learning. 

 


Now I will be telling you one of the famous places to go in New Zealand. I say go to Auckland because there is Rainbow End. I have been there it is really fun. The reason why it is a fun place to go is you can go on crazy rides and eat some yummy food. I promise you will in joy it. Rainbow End started in December 1982. Also Rainbow End theme park it is very popular.

It was the first time I ever use Coggle. Our teacher told us to do it on a different presentation not like a boring old slideshow. So I thought about using a new site that I want to learn more about. Summer Learning Journey Prep

Hi guys, today I am going to be talking about SLJ, Summer Learning Journey. We had another lesson. In my other SLJ post I had talked about prizes I want to win. This time I am going to be talking about a country I had choose to do. Which is Malaysia. We have to watch a channel that was in there language. 

The name of the show is Upin & Lpin I was confused because it was total not in my language. The only thing I could think about was what is this even about. I only came up with one which was ... that the little kids were going to school and they were having fun. If I knew what they were saying then I could tell you all about it. The only thing that I did like that it was a animation. I rate this three stars. ⭐⭐⭐

Now I am going to show you a New Zealand TV show which most of you might know Family Fend. In Family Fend you comet with another family and you have to answer question about NZ or other things. If you get over 300 points you come back the next day to comet with another family. If you do it contuses for 5 day you can win a car and money. I rate this a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Here is a video.
