W.A.L.T add two digit numbers by first adding the ones and then the tens

Problem
How did you solve it?
23 + 45 = 68
45 + 20 = 65 + 3 = 68
16 + 32 = 48
10 + 6 + 30 + 2 = 48
47 + 32 = 79
47 + 32 = 79
52 + 16 = 68
52 + 10 = 62 + 6 = 68
27 + 21 = 48
20 + 20 = 40 + 8 = 48
53 + 24 = 77
50 + 20 = 70
3 + 4 = 7
70 + 7 = 77
73 + 15 = 88
70 + 15 = 85 + 3 = 88
134 + 33 = 167
100 + 30 + 30 = 160
4 + 3 = 7
167
267 + 21 = 288
200 + 20 + 60 = 280
7 + 1 = 8
280 + 8 = 288
432 + 156 = 588
400 + 50 + 30 = 480
2 + 6 = 8
480 + 8 = 488

Story problems - please write the equations to the problem as well as the answer.

Mrs Mclachlan is doing her supermarket shopping. She buys apples, banana, pears and oranges. In each bag, she chooses 6 pieces of each fruit. How many pieces of fruit does she have altogether? 6 x 4 = 24

It cost Mr Roberts $8 to buy prizes for a super prize draw. If he buys 11 prizes how much will he spend? 8 x 8 = 88

Mrs Mclachlan is sorting out gifts for her sister’s birthday. She buys one gift that cost $32 and another gift that costs $47. How much did Mrs Mclachlan spend all together? 32 + 47 = 79
                                                                                                                  30 + 49 = 79
56 pencils were put into the pencil draw. When the teachers check the pencils at the end of the day, there are only 42 left. How many pencils are missing? 56 - 42 = 14

On Monday Mrs Mclachlan went to the supermarket and spent $146. A few days later she needed to go back and worked out that in total she spent $173 at the supermarket this week. How much did she spend in the second shopping trip? 173 - 146 = 27

Kerstein has been collecting money for EOTC week. On the first day, several children paid a total of $235. Two days later Kerstein adds up the amount of payments and she has now $312. How much has she received since the first day? 235 - 312 = 77
