CIP

Image result for bags of rubbishHi guys how are you doing? Today I am going to be talking about CIP. Last blog post I was talking about helping the homeless and more. This blog post is a new topic which is about picking up rubbish and making it into art and to clean up rubbish. I think that it is a great idea because we have a big problem with our rubbish. I think we will pick up more that nine bags of rubbish or more because there is a lot of us doing this project. I also think that we will mostly find cans and a lot of chip packets because we have found a lot of it around school. I would like to make my art useful for example a reusable bag. Thanks for reading BYE!

Home Chemistry - Crazy Crystals

Aim: To learn about a saturated solution and how to make crystals

Definition of solution
A liquid mixture, when something is dissolved into a liquid (eg: sugar in water)

Definition of saturated
Having or holding as much as can be absorbed of something (when no more sugar or borax can be dissolved into the water)

Borax Crystals

Explain how the following crystals are formed?

Type

Salt
Salt is made by putting sea water into a pond and then the sun evaporates the water. Then you are left with salt.

Meaning of evaporates: It when a liquid turns into gas and floats away in the air.
Sugar
First the sugar cane is cut up and rolled into a thin line. Then they remove the fibre and melted it underneath a hot pot to make it into a syrup. Then they add in sugar and that starts the process. Then after some hours it makes sugar.
Snowflakes
I forms by the cold and hot breeze and it makes a snowflake.

Science Experiment
Hi guys, today I thought I would do a science experiment on the salt water crystals. Have you ever heard of the salt water crystal experiment? Well today I will show you have to do it and walk you through the steps of making this crystal. Before we start I would like to say you have to have parental supervision when you are doing this experiment because we will be use fire. Anyway lets go!

Materials:

Drama Time

Drama Time

Hi guys today I'm going to be talking about what we did in drama for this week. On Tuesday we did puppet making with Miss Clark about the topic we have been doing. My group has made a apple, water, cola and pizza. As you have read this you can see that we have two health foods and two unhealthy foods. We are doing our topic about mental and emotional well-being. Here are some photos.

On Friday we did a plan showing what we were going to do and how we're going to do it. We had to make a plan of how our performance is going to go. The performance is going to be 3 minutes long. Here is a photo.

The Plan!

The Plan

Hi guys today I am talking about the plan. If you guys don't know I am doing something called Community Impact Project. But we call it (CIP). CIP is when we have a group of us students that help our community. We have Hornby High Community, Hornby Community,  Christchurch Community and the Global Community. I am in the Christchurch Community because I have seen a lot of homeless people around Christchurch and I would like to fix that problem. So I am working a group with my friends and they are Elisha Mae, Neveah and Shreya. Some ideas we came up with was to help the homeless, Help the SPCA and Help the people with health problems.

We thought about doing a market day, mufti day and sausage sizzles. We don't have many ideas but if you have any ideas please comment.
