Climate Change
Hi, guys today in science we had to watch a video about climate change. After that, we have to answer some questions.

What is our greatest threat in thousands of years?

  1. Greater Storms
  2. Greater Floods
  3. Greater heats waves
  4. Extreme High Sea Level Rise

How do we see climate change affecting the globe?
We can see the Climate Change affecting our globe by the temperature was getting hotter.

What is needed to change history?
We should stop making cars and polluting the air with gases.

Is climate change a man-made disaster?
Yes because fossil fuels are burning when people are making energy and electricity.

Dramatic action must be made in the next 10 years to change it?
We need to stop burning fossil fuels and gases into the atmosphere which is bad for us humans. 10 is the answer.

Why is our climate changing?
Because we are burning fossil fuels and different gases. Fossil fuel produces carbon dioxide, carbon dioxide acts like a blanket and makes the earth hotter and the temperature is now 1 degree hotter the industrial times.

What is causing the warming trend of the climate?
The thing that causes the warming trend of the Climate is burning too much fossil fuels.

What is the main problem?
The main problem with climate change is that when fossil fuels burn we make gases and they trap hotter air to make the earth hotter and ice in Antarctica starts to melt, then the water level rises then all the small countries, for example, the Pacific islands will go under water.

What are examples of these?
The example effects of Climate change is that animals are dying because they are unable to live with this much heat.

Burning fossil fuels releases what gas?
The gases that fossil fuels are producing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas which is harmful to us and our environment.

How much hotter now is our world?
1°C hotter and It's enough to bring the effect of Climate Change.

What do we call this global warming?
It is when the earth is hot. Global Warming is also called "Climate Change."

How is this affecting creatures/animals like bats?
The temperature will go hotter and the animals that are not used to hot weather will start drying.

What percentage of species are near extinction?
The percentage of species are near extinction is 8%

How could this affect the world ecosystems?

It affects the world ecosystem by our animals are slowly going to be extinct. In 2018 in Australia, the weather got hotter about 42°C and the bats couldn't handle the heat that they are getting and 11 thousand died and they only saved about 350 bats.

What global change was seen and recording breaking last year?
Our world gets hotter and hotter and it breaks the lasts years record by 1°C. 1°C is enough to melt the snows in the mountains.

How is climate change affecting our weather systems?
1. Extremely strong floods/storms
2. Heavy Heatwaves

3. Powerful rain

What is another effect of climate change?
The other effects of climate change are that the Ice in the mountains is malting because the heat has increased, and the sea level is getting higher.

What will happen if the ice melts in Antarctica and the Arctic?
It will increase the Sea level even more than it is right now. All the small island will go under water.

How does this affect people?
When the ice melts it will take down our land and homes will be under water.

What other things affect oceans change?
It also affects people by having Wildfires. Last year as the temperature rise there's a broken record of wildfires around the globe; Western US and California. In California, there's a 24 worth Billion of damages.

What does to much heat due to coral?
Too much heat makes Corals die.

Why did some industries not want to stop burning fossil fuels?
Because they are making money maybe they don't know how this will impact on our environment.

Stop at 23.39

Life of Shoes ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

Hi, guys today we had to make a story about shoe.

Hi, my name is Tiffany Blue I have lived with my best friend Anna for about two years. But there is something different about me and Anna's friendship, she is way taller than me, she talks really loud and has the biggest head in the world. Anyways Anna always goes out with a backpack and something she wears every day. I don't think she washes it. Once I heard her saying "Where's my uniform?"

When she leaves the house me and my other friends have a timetable for the week. Anna has a dog his name is Max, he likes to chew on the shoes especially me. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday Max goes to Pet Preschool. So on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday, we play and explore the house and on Mondays and Tuesdays, we are all upstairs. Max can't go upstairs as he is a baby.

On Wednesday we start to explore the kitchen. Oh, sorry I forgot to introduce my friends May White, Laila Pink and Super Star Gold.

I have not finished the story but I would like some feedback.  BYE!

CIP Activity

CIP Activity

So today in C.I.P we will be making a colouring competition. First, we had to get into groups of 3 then we had to put in Ideas on these Questions like how we would like to organise the comp.
How I would like it to group three different types of easy, medium and hard. I would like to have them circle shaped I have some Ideas with these:

Easy

Hard

  • How will we give the forms to SHs, Gilberthorpes, HPS and St Bernadette's
  • The dates will they have if I got to decide I would give them at least one week.
  • Age groups: Year 1-12
  • Writing letters to each school about what this is about and to get sponsorship. Also writing letters to the Warehouse for sponsorship.

Hi, guys today I am going to be showing some new drawings form our new hurumanu, which is art. In art, our teacher is Whaea Rowena. We have been looking at Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake. Roald Dahl is a writer for kids books and Quentin Blake is the illustrator of the Roald Dahl books. So Quentin Blake drew all the drawings in the Roald Dahl books. One of the most popular books were "Matilda."

The Big Picture

Image result for earth

Hi, guys today in Science we watched a video called "The Big Picture." It is about our planet. After that, we had to answer some questions.

Here is a link to a video about our planet.

THE BIG PICTURE

  • What animals keep our jackets warm? The jacket is made from ducks feathers. The hood is made of cotton and silk: plants and silkworms.

  • What animal makes our boots waterproof? Cows produce leather which is made into waterproof boot's.

  • Where does the water in our rivers come from? They come from melting snow and clouds absorb water when it rains on us. Then it goes into the rivers and oceans.

  • Why do we need healthy rivers? Good healthy water is made by healthy catchments.  To catch fresh fish and drink clean water.

    Image result for mosquitoes
  • What are some of the good things about mosquitoes? The larvae of the mosquitoes clean the bacteria, slime and other larvae. so without mosquitos, we would have bad waters, no fish, hungry birds and geckoes. They also give food to our fish and our animals like reptiles, bats, beetles, mantids and spiders. The mosquitoes also pollinate our native flowers.

    Image result for bees
  • Why are bees dying? If we didn't have bees it would be hard for the farmers. Bees are drying because of cellphone towers, pesticides, exotic mites and predators on the bee's body.

Related image
  • What do bugs do to our leaves? The bugs turn the leaves into smaller and smaller pieces until it becomes food again.

  • Reduce - It means to make smaller or less than an amount, degree, or size.
  • Recuse - It means to use something more than once.
  • Recycle - Means to convert waste into reusable material's.

  • How much dung would we be in if there were no dung decomposers? There would be 7ft of rubbish in 3 years.
Image result for nature
  • Who runs this planet? Our planet is not ruled by us it is ruled by the nature and the animals of our planet. After all, without them, life would be hard.

Conclusion:
I think I have added lots of detail. Next time I would like to finish this a bit faster. Anyways hope you like it BYE.

Philippines Independence Day

Philippines Independence Day

Image result for philippinesHi, guys did you know that today is Philippines  Independence Day?

What is Independence Day?
Image result for Spain
It is when the country is not ruled by another country. So Spain uses to rule the Philippines. That's why the language of the Philippines have some Spanish in it.

On this day in 1898, the Philippines, an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands in the western Pacific Ocean named after Spanish King Philip II, declared independence from Spain after more than 300 years of colonial rule. Today’s Doodle salutes Philippines Independence Day, celebrated across the islands and in Filipino communities all over the world.

A commemorative ceremony takes place each year in Kawit, in the province of Cavite, where the Declaration of Independence was first read by Ambrosio Rianzares Bautista at the home of General Emilio Aguinaldo, now known as the Aguinaldo Shrine. Besides the public reading of this historic document—in the original Spanish as well as in Tagalog—the first flag raising is reenacted.

The flag itself is a powerful symbol of the independence movement: blue representing truth and justice, red symbolizing patriotism, and white standing for equality. The stars at the flag’s corners represent Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the three main regions of the Philippines. The eight rays surrounding the sun stand for the first eight provinces that battled against Spain.

Independence Day is marked by festive parades nationwide, including a police and military parade in the capital city of Manila that culminates with a speech by the president, followed by a 21-gun salute. Families and friends take advantage of this day off from work and school to enjoy the quality time together, this year to celebrate this country’s 121 years of independence.
