Hi, guys today I going to be showing you how to play Bench Ball. So for P.E today we played a game of beach ball with another class called Bh. Let's go!

Bench Ball is sort of like netball but it is a little different. So you should first have two even teams to play against. So after that get two benches and put them on the sides of your court. The put a netball in the centre of your court. So hopefully your court looks like this. ⬇️

Now one of your players needs to go on the bench they are your target. Then your team except for the person on the bench will all go to the other side of the court.  Then you have to do paper scissors rock with the other time to see who goes first. Lets we go first we have to pass the ball without stepping (like netball.) When you make it to the side that one of your players is on the bench you have to try passing it to them if they get it you are on the bench to help out and if you didn't the ball would go to the other team. The goal is to get all of your players on the bench. 

So when we played bench ball today we had two goals which were Including yourself and others and having a positive attitude. We didn't go so well with having a positive attitude because we lost one of our games and we didn't have a positive attitude. BYE

Revolution Tour

Revolution Tour

Hi, guys today I will be writing about an awesome experience. I had. On Tuesday a guy from the revolution tour came to Hornby High.  

What is Revolution tour?  

It is about giving hope and happiness to kids and adults and is about being kind and being yourself.  

So this guys Reggie came to our school and he made us laugh have fun and be proud of what we are. We also got sing 5 to 4 songs that cheered us up. Reggie was really talented because he knows how to play the Saxophone. If I had the opportunity to see him and the revolution tour team again I would diffidently meet him. I think the best part was when he told his background story. Which was really sad but made me think about how grateful I am in this world. Descriptive Writing 27.5.19

Hi, guys today I am going to be showing you a piece of writing I have made. This writing is inspired by the music that I have made with some friend. If you want to see that post it is one of my latest posts. It'd called Making Music. Anyway here is my writing and this is about a girl rapping.  

The full moon was shimmering on the reflection of the water. The sky was clear and midnight blue. I lay on the grass and glared at the sky. I sighed “Ahh.” I lay there for a minute or two and suddenly I thought about a beat. I started to sing and I made a song. I was so happy it was a great song. The song was about my life. It goes like this “ Life might a glory but it’s also one big story so get up be right, fight through the dark times to get the light.” After that, I fell off to sleep happily.

Making Music

Hey guys, today I am going to be showing you some type of music I made with a group of friends. The group that I had was Nevaeh, Shreya and me. In this music, we had to add in an ASMR,  has to be 3 minutes long, three sounds,  it has to have a start, middle, end and 3 instruments or more. We used drums in this music. Can you hear them? To make this music we used GarageBand. Have you used GarageBand before? Hope you like it here is our music.

Hi, guys today I am going to be telling you how to play Ki O Rahi? Do you know how to play Ki O Rahi? I have played Ki O Rahi a lot of times so I thought I could make a piece writing about the instructions in Ki O Rahi. I am really proud of the work I have done if you think I have done well give me a comment.

Ki O Rahi Instruction

Do you know how to play Ki O Rahi? Do you know it is an easy and fun game to play with friends or family? You can also play competitively. Here is some step by step Instructions of how to play Ki O Rahi lets go!

Ki O Rahi is a game that is usually played in groups of seven. So there are two groups playing one game. This is how the field is set up.

So a Tupu is the centre target so it’s is what you're aiming for when you have the ball. But there are certain rules you have to know. I’ll go through them all now.

1. You need to choose your teams
2. Organise your team's eg - One team needs to be the Kioma and the other needs to be the Taniwha.  
3. Then in half time, you swap. So the team that was Kioma is now Taniwha and the team that is Taniwha is now Kioma. They both have a different role.

Anyway back to the rules! Pou is is what the Kioma makes points with. Kioma has to hint the Pou at least once and run it through Pawero and touch the ground in Te Wairua. But they have to do all of that without getting taped by the other team twice. Meanwhile, the Taniwha has to try to get the ball and hint Tupu but there are two guards protecting Tupu who are from Kioma. Which is also called Kaitiaki.

Ki-O-Rahi

Ki-O-Rahi 

Hi, guys on Tuesday in P.E we got to learn some rules about Ki-O-Rahi. Then we had to make a poster and on that poster, we had to include the equipment that you will need to play Ki-O-Rahi, the rules to Ki-O-Rahi, the history behind it and a layout of how the field looks. In our group, we had Tasharn, Nevaeh and I. So we didn't get to complete our poster but here is the poster that we have made. 

The next period we got in the new gym and we had to line up in our year levels to smallest to highest. After that, we got put into groups that we will have to be for the rest of the term. Surprisingly I had one of my friends in my group which was Neveah. In those group, we had to play against other people from our class and another class. The game we played was really easy it is like Ki-O-Rahi but easier. So this is how to set up the field. On each side, you must have one orange cone, six smaller blue cones around it making a circle and a yellow ball. Like this: 

The rules are simple so you start off the game by putting a ball in the middle of the field and when the referee says go your team runs for the ball. Then you can make two steps then you have t past it to your team members while the other team tries to stop you. When you get to the other side you have to try to knock other the orange cone but you have to stay out of the blue cones. Another thing is that you must have one person from the other team in the circle are all times to defend them. Here are some photos.
