Hi, guys today in Science we watched a video called "The Big Picture." It is about our planet. After that, we had to answer some questions.
Here is a link to a video about our planet.

THE BIG PICTURE
- What animals keep our jackets warm? The jacket is made from ducks feathers. The hood is made of cotton and silk: plants and silkworms.
- What animal makes our boots waterproof? Cows produce leather which is made into waterproof boot's.
- Where does the water in our rivers come from? They come from melting snow and clouds absorb water when it rains on us. Then it goes into the rivers and oceans.
- Why do we need healthy rivers? Good healthy water is made by healthy catchments. To catch fresh fish and drink clean water.
- What are some of the good things about mosquitoes? The larvae of the mosquitoes clean the bacteria, slime and other larvae. so without mosquitos, we would have bad waters, no fish, hungry birds and geckoes. They also give food to our fish and our animals like reptiles, bats, beetles, mantids and spiders. The mosquitoes also pollinate our native flowers.
- Why are bees dying? If we didn't have bees it would be hard for the farmers. Bees are drying because of cellphone towers, pesticides, exotic mites and predators on the bee's body.
- What do bugs do to our leaves? The bugs turn the leaves into smaller and smaller pieces until it becomes food again.
- Reduce - It means to make smaller or less than an amount, degree, or size.
- Recuse - It means to use something more than once.
- Recycle - Means to convert waste into reusable material's.
- How much dung would we be in if there were no dung decomposers? There would be 7ft of rubbish in 3 years.
- Who runs this planet? Our planet is not ruled by us it is ruled by the nature and the animals of our planet. After all, without them, life would be hard.
Conclusion:
I think I have added lots of detail. Next time I would like to finish this a bit faster. Anyways hope you like it BYE.
